The Amwell Clinic provides a number of different treatments for pain and injury rehabilitation. Here is a short list of some of the treatments we provide, if however you have a particular requirement please contact us for additional information.
BIOMECHANICAL AND MUSCULOSKELETAL ASSESSMENT
This determines gait, postural and physical misalignment, identifying muscular imbalances which may be the origination of your pain or discomfort. Which, when corrected, have been successful in the prevention of recurring issues..
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE / SPORTS MASSAGE
This provides therapeutic, relaxing massage for maintenance of sore, tired and damaged muscles by releasing excess tension and tightness. Additionally, Sports Massage will also assist in rejuvenating tired muscles that have been overworked, bringing them back to maximum performance levels.
MANUAL THERAPY AND MOBILISATION
This is the realignment of muscle tissue to it’s natural position. This helps to promote improved posture and core strength.
ACUPUNCTURE & ELECTROACUPUNCTURE
This is a non invasive, safe and painless method for repairing tissue, reducing inflammation, and providing pain relief. This may involve Ultrasound, Laser or Interferential Stimulation (Electric Pulse Therapy).
ORTHOTICS
Prescription Orthotics are shoe inserts which are specifically balanced for your personal requirements. They have been successfully used to manage posture correction and reduce painful musculoskeletal symptoms.
KINESIO TAPING
Kinesio tape has been shown to assist the support of joint/tendon/ligament and muscle tears whilst recovering and is used successfully by Olympic Athletes, professional football and rugby players to those less sporting individuals for
every day use.
MUSCULOSKELETAL WORKSHOPS
These can be arranged for corporate clients or groups and societies.
Interactive workshops aimed at educating individuals in the care of their muscles and general body well being. Educational and informative for groups, they can also help to reduce sickness absence in the corporate climate. These are especially arranged to suit the needs of your group members.
BODY FAT ANALYSIS / COMPOSITION
For those heavily into their training, or requiring weight and body fat information this can be calculated by the use of Skinfold Callipers, calculating Body Mass Index and frame size to provide you with approved test results to advise appropriate training methods to reach target weight loss or weight gain. A report is produced through Sports Scientific Techniques.
COMPREHENSIVE INJURY REPORTS
These can be produced as part of an assessment for car insurance claims and for Human Resources purposes for musculoskeletal sickness absence at work
ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSED SHORTWAVE THERAPY
For Muscle / Tendon / Ligament / Bone / Nerve / Vessel repair through electromagnetic frequency.
